There is light but there is also image, and together, beaming with intent,
John Tomlinson’s drawings reach across the room to see if you are paying attention.

Art Dust :: What I Mean
I am an artist of drawing so I will await my word poet to illuminate this series.
In choosing the title, I was musing about how dust is the residue of matter that once stood strong and occupied space in our lives, then dissolved into powder form - fine or rough - containing segments and fragments of the matter even as it disintegrates, then is swept away by the wind, scattered over wide territories as well as infiltrating small nooks and crannies, becoming a part of the universe.
The metaphor for art and art-making resides in the dust and may be revealed by poetry.
